Pillow Cover "Khanum"
Inspired by the tradition of Armenian carpet weaving, HDIF's "Khanum" handmade accent pillow is named because woven into the fabric is the word "Khanum" (meaning "lady") and the date "1887." This truly unique item is made of fabrics woven in Alexandria, Egypt that reproduce ancient Armenian textiles. HDIF imports the textiles, and the final handcrafted product is sewn in Vardenis. Invented in 405 A.D., the Armenian alphabet is one of the most ancient scripts in the world today. Copyright 2019 © Homeland Development Initiative Foundation.
